Sr. Oracle DBA (Offshore)

Astute is an Oracle partner looking for a Senior Oracle DBA to support mission-critical Oracle databases for enterprise customers in North America, working closely with its US consulting team.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Oracle databases for Banner, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Oracle E-Business Suite and custom applications.
• Install, patch, upgrade and maintain Oracle Database 12c, 18c, 19c and newer.
• Perform backup, recovery, cloning and migrations using RMAN and Data Pump.
• Monitor database health and performance; tune SQL and optimizer settings.
• Configure and administer Data Guard, RAC, ASM and high-availability setups.
• Troubleshoot P1 production incidents and work with Oracle Support.
• Deliver OCI deployments and migrations; write shell scripts for DBA automation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience.
• Strong experience with Oracle 12c, 18c and 19c.
• Expertise in RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, OEM.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL, including tuning.
• Linux/UNIX administration; backup, recovery and DR best practices.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Preferred

• OCI certification, Exadata, Bash/Korn shell, Ansible or Terraform, ITIL, North America client experience.
