Software Engineer, Senior

TraceLink is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Analytics products, running on Kubernetes (AWS EKS) with an RxJava/Vert.x cloud platform in the life sciences supply chain domain. You will own back-end, server-centric components and provide architectural input from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytics solutions that help clients optimise supply chain operations and meet compliance regulations.
• Provide architectural input and high-level design reviews.
• Work with domain experts, data scientists, architects, product managers and engineers on analytics products.
• Size complex stories and epics; keep multi-story projects on track.
• Write clean, high-performance, scalable code; work with QA on test planning and execution.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Hands-on SQL and expertise in Java or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, RDS, Kafka/Kinesis, SQS, SNS).
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices and Kubernetes containerization.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous messaging.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Engineering or equivalent experience.

Preferred

• Experience building agentic AI systems and prompt/context engineering.
• Exposure to GraphQL, Vert.x and Rx/Java; enterprise software or pharma industry experience.
